New England and Bermuda District Tour to
Key Club International Convention
Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista - Disney Springs Area
Orlando, FL
July 1 - 6, 2025
Our District Tour allows Key Club members from all over the New England and Bermuda District to travel to Key Club International Convention together with a shared group of chaperones. You can not register for the International Convention directly with Key Club International without a chaperone, so this is often the most cost-effective way for students to attend.
The District Tour includes airfare from Boston Logan, ground transportation in Orlando, convention registration, hotel lodging (Tuesday - Sunday), 1-2 meals per day, a day at Disney World (Magic Kingdom), and adult supervision.

How to Fund Your Trip
Katie Vashon International Convention Scholarship
Applications due March 15
Potential Discount: $500
Each year at the District Educational Conference, we award a scholarship in memory of 2001-2002 District Governor Katie Vashon, who passed away from Leukemia in 2005. This scholarship comes in the form of a $500 discount off our District Tour. Due to generous funding from the Kiwanis Foundation of New England, we are able to award an additional TWO scholarships for this year's International Convention.
Scholarship Rules:
-
This scholarship will be used to help offset the total cost of attending Key Club International Convention, held annually each summer. The scholarship is awarded in the form of a $500 discount off the District Tour price to travel to Key Club International Convention.
-
The scholarship recipient must travel to International Convention as a member of the New England and Bermuda District Tour. Not doing so will forfeit the scholarship.
-
Seniors who will have graduated high school before the International Convention are not eligible.

Other Potential Sources of Funding

-
Ask your sponsoring Kiwanis Club for support. Most Kiwanis Clubs will fund 1/3 of a Key Club member’s trip to International Convention. Be sure to share how your attendance will help you grow Key Club and plan to send a thank you card and/or present about your experience at a Kiwanis meeting.
-
Talk to your Faculty Advisor to see if there are funds available from your Key Club or your school district.
-
Since Key Club International is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, a portion of your costs to participate in the House of Delegates may be tax deductible for you or your parents.
-
You can always arrange personal fundraisers for your trip!

Traveling to Disney World for a convention over July Fourth Weekend is not cheap, but you can combine many of these opportunities to make your trip affordable! For example, if you register Early Bird (save $200), participate in the GLC master class (save $200), receive the Katie Vashon ICON Scholarship (save $500), and get one-third of the price covered by your sponsoring Kiwanis Club (save $533), your remaining cost for a five-day trip to Orlando is only $367.
